In the Twin Ports, where Minnesota and Wisconsin meet along the shores of Lake Superior, celebrations carry a little extra meaning. Maybe it’s the seasons. Maybe it’s the resilience of the people who call this region home. But here, weddings, festivals, fundraisers, graduations, and company picnics aren’t just events — they’re milestones. They’re gatherings that strengthen the community.
For years, Encore Event & Party Express has had the privilege of helping bring those moments to life. From elegant waterfront weddings, backyard graduation parties, nonprofit galas, to large-scale corporate events, Encore has built its reputation the old-fashioned way — by showing up, doing the work, and treating every event like it matters.
During peak season, our warehouse tells the story. Tents staged and ready to rise. Rows of chairs lined up with precision. Tables stacked and prepped for delivery. Equipment being checked and re-checked before it heads out the door. There’s a rhythm to it — a logistical choreography that only works when every member of the team understands that details matter.
But what truly defines Encore isn’t the size of the inventory. It’s the philosophy behind it.
Event planning can feel overwhelming. There are timelines, layouts, weather concerns, guest counts, power needs, permits — and a host who just wants to enjoy the day. That’s where we step in. Our team approaches each event as a partnership. We consult with clients, design floorplans, coordinate delivery schedules, and ensure that every tent, table, chair, and linen is exactly where it should be. It’s hands-on, collaborative, and it allows hosts to focus on what really matters — their guests.
Recently, that commitment to service entered an exciting new chapter.
Encore officially acquired Best Day Ever Tents and Events, marking a significant expansion of our inventory, capabilities, and service offerings throughout the region. This acquisition substantially increases our selection of tents, tables, chairs, and specialty event equipment, allowing us to better serve weddings, corporate gatherings, community celebrations, and private events across the Twin Ports and the Upper Tri-State Region.

For our General Manager, Tylar Lundeen, the move represents both growth and responsibility: “This acquisition is an exciting step forward for Encore,” Tylar shared. “We will continue to serve all current and future Best Day Ever customers with the same level of service they’ve come to expect. Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition while expanding the products and support available to our clients.”
Growth only works if it strengthens service. That was important to us — and to former Best Day Ever owner Bernie Ozan: “Customers will receive the same thoughtful, professional, and attentive service from Encore as they would have from our team,” Bernie said. “This transition has been made with great care, and I am confident that Encore shares the same commitment to quality and customer experience.”
We take that trust seriously.
The expanded inventory means more tent configurations, greater seating capacity for large-scale events, and increased flexibility for unique venues. It also strengthens our ability to manage multiple major events simultaneously without sacrificing the personal attention that has always defined our approach.
In our region, reliability matters. Outdoor seasons are precious and weather can shift quickly. Setup locations vary from downtown pavement and grassy parkland to waterfront properties. Our crews understand those nuances. They adapt, problem-solve, and work efficiently and safely because they know what’s at stake.
Still, beyond inventory counts and logistics, the real impact of this work is measured in moments. It’s the bride who walks into her reception space and pauses — because the vision she carried for months is now standing in front of her. It’s the non-profit director who breathes easier seeing hundreds of guests comfortably seated under a perfectly lit tent. It’s the laughter of kids bouncing through inflatables at a community festival. These temporary structures become the backdrop for lasting memories.
As the events industry continues to evolve — with new design trends, sustainability considerations, and rising expectations for guest experience — we’re committed to evolving with it. The acquisition of Best Day Ever is not just about adding equipment. It’s about strengthening our ability to serve this region with excellence.
In the Twin Ports, celebrations mark the rhythm of community life. From summer festivals to winter galas, from intimate gatherings to large-scale productions, we’re honored to help build the spaces where those memories unfold.
With this latest chapter, Encore isn’t just expanding. We’re reaffirming our commitment to the region we call home — ensuring that when the next “best day ever” arrives, the stage will be set.
